Wow. I cannot believe I have got up at 5:30 and made it on time to CrossFit every single week day for the past three weeks. Those of you who know me realize what a feat this is for me. The end of this week will be a benchmark for me. According to a photo I saw, the end of this week is supposed to be a time when I should notice results myself. I already know I will be pleased come Friday. I have noticed some great changes! I'll elaborate then :-)
Today's WOD No Skill Today
Run a 5k [Me: 39:47]
Either run 25 times around the building OR start at the south garage entrance, go up to 171, head south on 171 for about 200 meters to plaza with State Farm, X-Factor, etc, turn right in first entrance (State Farm side), go through middle section of plaza to back of plaza and take left onto Armistead Lane. Take Armistead Lane down to Sam Houston Road and turn right. Stay on Sam Houston until East Weber Circle (it is road after High School). Turn around and follow same roads back.
I was very happy about this workout!! I haven't ran like that since last year at this time. I do have to say, running to the high school from our CrossFit Box seemed daunting. It was only one other guy and I at the workout this morning. I ran the 5k in 39:47 :-) I've read that a good average is a 10 min mile, so I only have 9 mins to shave off before I'm right there with the average! Not too shabby for someone who hasn't ran in a year!
