Today's WOD Skill: HSPU
EMOM-15 minute cap (each minute, increase by one)
Burpees
Sit-ups
Some of you have done this type of workout before (with different exercises involved). For those that have not, here's how it works: The first minute you do 1 Burpee and 1 situp then rest for remainder of minute. On second minute you do 2 Burpees and 2 situps then rest for remainder of minute. Third minute 3 Burpees and 3 situps then rest for remainder of minute. 15 minute time cap. Once you max out and can't keep up, set a number of reps that you can maintain each minute to finish out the remainder of the minutes.
After not working out since Wednesday morning and my diet being total crap for five days, it was the 4th...vacay!, I was SCARED to go to the Box this morning!! I totally intended on doing a workout from the camp on Thursday and Friday just to make sure my muscles didn't forget to breath come Monday. Well that plan busted...lol! For today's hand stand push ups I learned how to use bands to assist. LOVE that way of doing them!! I really think it'll help train my muscles better to get to eventually doing it without bands. Man I cannot imagine that!
For the workout, I looked at it and thought it would be much easier than it was. Holy moly. I got to 8 at the 8th minute and then had to go to five of each per minute, then sat one minute out. I need OXYGEN in my life!! I'm thinking the poor diet over the holiday and the lack of water consumption attributed to that inability to breathe. I kept getting light headed too :-( Ah well! Made it through another workout and ready for tomorrow!
